On June 4, Glorysoft and Vital Materials held the kickoff meeting for the 12-inch CIM Project at Jiangsu Advanced Memory Semiconductor Ltd.(AMS). The two parties reached consensus on project objectives, implementation roadmap and promotion mechanisms, marking the official launch of project execution. Yang Xiaoqiang, General Manager of AMS; Ma Quan, CIO of Vital Materials; Chen Meng, Co-President of Glorysoft; and Zhuang Jinxiao, General Manager of Glorysoft 12-inch Division, attended the meeting and delivered speeches to offer strategic guidance for smooth project advancement.

The CIM system serves as the core nerve center of semiconductor fabs, encompassing dozens of critical modules including MES, EAP, RMS, SPC and FDC. For 12-inch advanced process production lines, the CIM system must process real-time data from tens of thousands of equipment simultaneously with millisecond-level response and fault-tolerant-free logic, subject to far higher complexity and reliability requirements compared with 8-inch and smaller production lines.
For a long time, domestic 12-inch fabs have relied heavily on overseas suppliers for core CIM systems, which brings challenges such as limited customization capability, slow response and data security risks. Achieving independent controllability of domestic 12-inch CIM systems constitutes a crucial battle for the localization of the semiconductor industrial chain.
Centered on core scenarios of 12-inch wafer manufacturing at AMS, this project aims to build an independently controllable, deeply process-adaptable, highly reliable and scalable CIM/MES system, fully covering production management, equipment collaboration, process workflow, quality traceability and data operation. The project will be implemented in phases to prioritize supporting factory construction and capacity ramp-up, while laying a solid foundation for rapid replication and deployment at other industrial bases under Vital Materials in the future.
Vital Materials boasts mature products, technologies and process standards in the field of 12-inch wafer manufacturing, with clear requirements for the reliability, real-time performance and data security of CIM systems. Glorysoft has accumulated over 19 years of expertise in general semiconductor intelligent manufacturing and implementation experience across thousands of production lines. Glorysoft has previously delivered CIM systems for domestic 12-inch 18nm front-end wafer fabs, with proven performance in high-yield and highly complex production environments.
To address technical challenges for 12-inch CIM, Glorysoft has developed a comprehensive fully self-developed solution. Spanning equipment automation (EAP) at the bottom layer to manufacturing execution (MES), as well as real-time process control (FDC/RMS/SPC), yield analysis and intelligent decision-making (YMS/LOFA), its CIM platform meets stringent demands of 12-inch mass production lines for high concurrency, low latency and zero tolerance for errors. On operational production lines, the platform has achieved stability and availability comparable to leading international suppliers.
